PFAS Site Investigation & Well Installation
Arnold Air Force Base (Arnold, TN)
Our team installed 53 groundwater monitoring wells and performed 30 additional soil borings for the first phase of a PFAS Remedial Investigation at Arnold Air Force Base for a major Federal client. Drilling was tricky as the wells ranged in depths and the team encountered a significant amount of bedrock in the borings and was not able to introduce a lot of water due to the Clients need to strongly identify the presence of groundwater in the well which required our team to sonic core the bedrock mostly dry which we successfully did. Safety protocols and operating procedures were rigorous as usual due to the presence of PFAS and the needs of the Air Force base. Our team navigated ammunition areas and safely operated installing wells within an active airfield. The project was completed on time and under budget and provided another satisfied Client.
